I have not only had the honor of working with Christine for the past year and a half but I have also been one of the lucky mom’s who she has helped with lactation. I can not say enough wonderful things about Christine. She is so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about breastfeeding and lactation. Her vast knowledge makes her able to help any mom with any of the issues that may arise during their breastfeeding journey. Christine is one of the most loving and compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She makes her clients feel so supported and at ease during the postpartum period which can be such an emotional time. She is truly one of the most amazing women you will ever meet and I hope that every new mom has the pleasure of working with her.

I have had the great pleasure seeing Christine in action helping moms and babies become a successful breastfeeding unit. I have seen this as early as “the Golden Hour” immediately after a birth we attended together to helping many other times during the first year of life at our local Breastfeeding support Group. Christine, sits quietly and attentive as Mom explains their struggles. She then observes the feed and can then point out so very many things that the Mamma is doing right. She then gently approaches the things that can be easily changed for immediate relief. Christine then makes her plan with Mom’s input and often in just one or two other visits she has set the family up for success. She also is available when needs change like going back to work, growth spurts or other life moments that happen. Christine is an amazing teacher to her peers. She shares her passion and knowledge freely when asked.

In my role as a general pediatrician MMP South Portland Pediatrics, I have gotten to work very closely with Christine over the last two years in a number of capacities, and I could not recommend her more highly. She is such a pleasure to work with, and I receive glowing reviews about her from every family I have sent to her for lactation support. She is warm, reassuring and extremely knowledgeable. She is also humble and has a great sense of humor. Christine makes it very clear that her primary goal is to support families in meeting their own goals. With this caring and compassionate approach, she is a huge asset to our team and to the families she supports.

Not only is Christine a wealth of knowledge and skills when it comes to infant and maternal health and breastfeeding, she has a demeanor that is incredibly calm and comforting which is so appreciated during the vulnerable postpartum period. Christine offers such valuable support and encouragement to mothers and babies throughout their breastfeeding journeys. I wish every mom and baby could work with her!

As a second time mom who struggled with breast feeding my first son - latch challenges and food intolerances, I was anxious and, frankly, terrified about trying to breast feed my second child. All of the angst came rushing back when he was born. Christine swooped in with the perfect blend of calm, inquiry, confidence and patience.
Her approach to supporting me, my son and our family helped me identify a suite of tools to support my plan to breastfeed and build my confidence that the challenges of my past were behind me and this was a new chapter.
I will be forever grateful for solid practical and emotional foundation for breast feeding she helped me to build.

Christine is a gem of a resource for breastfeeding folks. She has such a depth of knowledge that she relays in a kind, approachable, mother-centered way. One grateful mama mentioned to me that she wished she had recorded their session for posterity! So much to gain from spending time with Christine, learning this art of breastfeeding which is both so universal yet so individual. Can't say enough positive things about Christine. I only wish we could clone her!

Christine is an amazing nurse and her dedication to nursing mothers is unmatched. I had the pleasure of watching her care for my daughter and twin granddaughters. She has a gentle approach to teaching and explaining breastfeeding techniques and troubleshooting any challenges mom and baby might face.

Christine is the calm headed, motivating support that you need when tackling this new and challenging adventure. Her knowledge and personal experience put you at ease and instill in you the confidence that you need to bond with your baby and work through this journey together. Christine was my lactation consultant in the first 24hrs after I had given birth to our first child and has stayed a staple in my breastfeeding journey. In what can be a very exhausting and stressful time she not only was professional but helped me feel relieved, relaxed and confident about starting my breastfeeding journey. Her calm and nurturing instruction, tips & advice over the last year have been a true life saver and I am forever grateful for her help. I am now pregnant with baby #2 and I will certainly be using her again!
